I have been obsessed with macrame for a few years now…
As for many of my obsessions, it started with a fashion trend and more precisely with the discovery of the very talented Denisse M Vera

Tops, dresses, skirts, bodypieces, or even wedding dresses, this australian designer knows how to give a luxurious dimension to macramé which can easily explain her international success!
Macramé is beautiful but in concrete terms, what is it? It is the art of knot-tying!
The Macrame cord can be just about any kind of cord, twine, or rope made out of cotton, hemp, jute, or synthetic material, plastic, leather...the possibilities are infinite.
Clothes, accessories, jewelry, decorative objects and even furniture, this technique has potential and is quite popular : you just need a few things (your hands, cords, scissors and a support) and you only need to know a handful of knots to create a macrame project.
One-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry
We start in Canada, with a brand I really like : Nüdo
Created by Julie Comtois, you can find these beautiful neclaces and earrings on Etsy and on Facebook, many different colors and stones for all the #bohogoddesses out there !!
Back in France, but still on Etsy, here are the very original creations of Claire Colin in scoubidou threads.
On a different note, we have the classic leather bracelets, quite popular among men.
But I was able to find some very different macrame accessories in leather :

So do we opt for the necklace or the tie?

You can also find pieces of jewelry made out of linen, or hemp for a hippie of a boho look!
Accessories
Macramé bags are definitely back especially during the summer : beach bags, handbags, and even clutch bags. Do you approved this trend?
If the bags haven't won you over, you can now find these knots everywhere... shoes, belts and key rings!
Decorative objects
Wall hangings, plants holders and more, macramé is everywhere in our homes !!!
You can find them everywhere, in big stores, small shops, online : the macrame wall hangings have been adopted by the majority!
And so have the plant holders :

But for me, the cutest of them all are the macrame hanging cribs, don't you agree?

And of course, the macrame swings, for the garden or the living room (let's get crazy sometimes!!).

Here you can admire a beautiful macramé arch...
We used it for a boho wedding photo shoot I organized just before the quarantine with a small team!! All the pictures are in my portfolio!!

Already won over by macramé ?
If this is the case, you can easily shop it or even better knot it....
there are a lot of online tutorials!!!
